About the speakers:
Jonathan Sagot represents clients in complex corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and financings. He advises tech-enabled emerging companies throughout their growth lifecycle, from their formation to series financings to exit. In his varied background, Jonathan has represented companies and acted as general outside counsel for clients in the software, digital health, proptech, blockchain, advertising, communications, media, e-commerce, food and beverage, and fashion and beauty industries.
Jonathan provides practical, results-oriented advice to help clients solve their commercial and legal issues, and strives to position clients for success over the long term. He also represents and advises angel investors, venture capital firms, corporate venture funds and strategic acquirers investing in emerging growth companies.
Andrew Murphy supports clients in the technology and life sciences industries on a broad variety of corporate matters, including startup company formations, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters. He seeks to provide pragmatic and thoughtful advice to help clients navigate complex transactions and solve business and legal issues efficiently and effectively. Andrew’s clients include formation-stage companies through late-stage privately held companies, as well as venture capital investors and corporate strategic investors.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Andrew was an associate at a globally recognized law firm where he represented clients in complex mergers and acquisitions transactions and a wide range of corporate financing matters, including public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities.
While in law school, Andrew was senior developments editor for the New York University Journal of Law and Business. Andrew is also a guest lecturer at New York University on a variety of topics, including entrepreneurship and venture financings.
