Chief Technology Officer

The company is one of Scotland’s leading and fastest-growing law firms, enjoying established relationships with the UK’s leading house builders and introducers of high volume conveyancing and remortgage work as well as being one of Scotland’s leading estate agency businesses.

The firm has an ambitious plan to develop its technology platform to deliver an unparalleled level of internal efficiency, customer service and integration with third party suppliers including its introducers’ CRM systems.

The role will involve responsibility for the delivery of the company’s development roadmap and maintenance of a complex software ecosystem that utilises open API, third party SaaS products and extensive automations thorugh a mix of ‘no code’ and coded solutions. The system is currently developed, maintained and overseen by the Managing Director and Product Marketing Manager. The candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, at Board level, on an ongoing basis.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on and able initially to work without junior support staff. The firm intends to build a technology team in the coming months to support the CTO/Systems Architect, with input from the CTO to hire the ideal candidates. Experience in the legal, property or proptech sector is desirable.

Salary will be based on FTE of £50,000 to £80,000 depending on experience.
