Our client is an award-winning provider of development finance, with an enviable track record of supporting experienced developers to deliver successful projects. Founded as an unregulated fund, initially specialising in mezzanine finance, they focused on assisting developers and banks to bring part-built residential developments to completion at a time when funding was scarce. Since then, they have developed their product range and funding capabilities to establish themselves as an innovative provider of development finance. Since inception, they have originated loans with combined committed facilities of over £1.5bn and a GDV of over £3bn.

As a result of continued growth and the launch of a new fund, we are seeking a Senior Data / Business Analyst.

Key skills:

Strong SQL with a good understanding of relational databases
Python coding skills Excel VBA a plus
Experience with BI and visualisation tools (PowerBI or Tableau)
AWS EC2 and S3 experience
Proven capability of turning raw data into valuable insights and able to interpret multiple sources of data into meaningful reports, charts, and commentary
Existing real estate sector expertise a plus
Financial modelling skills a big plus
Hard worker, super smart, analytical, sort their errors, strong problem-solving abilities, clear concise articulation of complex data sets, Team player, supportive of the organisation’s needs
Confident self-starter, able to work independently and without supervision
Responsibilities:

Setup and maintain automated reporting, and perform ad-hoc research and analysis requests
Review and maintain an in-depth understanding of Proptech providers and data services
Build and maintain a robust data repository, with well-documented data bibles and process flows
Monitor relevant macro-economic data sets and trends
Provide sector and competitor benchmarks
Mine and analyse larger data sets, draw valid inferences, and present them clearly to management
Help build internal and stakeholder KPIS
Research all publicly available and paid subscription data sources relevant to our business and broader proptech initiatives
Routinely audit data quality
